Hatha training and Vedic philosophy with an emphasis on process-oriented yoga for overall health, well-being and personal growth (incl. pranayama and meditation practice). Asana practice and training for physical strength, stress management and injury rehabilitation, from beginner to advanced
Basic Course Content Breakdown:
History/Philosophy – Paths of Yoga (Karma, Bhakti, Jnana & Raja Yoga) & 8 Limbs of Yoga
(Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana & Samadhi)
Anatomy – Taught in a fun and functional manner as pertaining to yoga, by in-house exercise scientist
Asana – Practiced in a class format with use of basic props, pose variation and adaptations
Pose instruction, sequencing, contra-indications and practical teaching hours are all included
Yoga Teacher Trainers (YTT) meet 1-on-1 or in groups depending on schedules etc. A minimum of one additional class should be attended per week.
The anatomy exam, prac teaching hours and teaching exam take place either on a weekday evening or Saturday morning – dates to be discussed and confirmed.
